Members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) clashed with members of the New People’s Army in Upper Tamugan, Calinan district in Davao City Sunday morning, ABS-CBN said in a report.
According to Lt. Col. Raymond Lachica, the commanding officer of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, the soldiers just came from an encounter in Marilog and were on their way to the camp in Calinan when a landmine exploded.
The military truck was not hit. The NPA members who were positioned at the top of the mountain then fired at the soldiers.
the fight lasted at 30 minutes and it is better that no one get hurt at the clash.
