NCRPO Director Oscar Albayalde said that there is no member of Maute or Abu Sayyaf Group has been spotted in Metro Manila and advised the public to ignore the reports in the circulating text message that Maute will attack because of the arrest and detention of Maute patriarch. He also said that the police is on high alert, thus encouraged the Metro Manila residents to remain calm and help the police stop terrorist strikes by reporting to any police station the suspicious actions of any organization, reported The Manila Times.
Meanwhile, Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr., head of the Southern Police District (SPD), was appointed by Albayalde as the point man of the security plan for Britney Spears’ concert at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City on June 15.
