Military official said that some Maute members who want to surrender to the government were killed by the leaders of the group and by their fellow terrorists, GMA News reported.
“Meron tayong reports na gustong lumabas na mga terorista, gustong mag-surrender, pero some of them were killed by their leaders. Meron ‘yung gusto nang sumurender pero pinatay sila nung mga kasamahan nila,” said Task Force Marawi spokesperson Lt. Col Jo-Ar Herrera in a press briefing.
“I can’t give you the details pero meron, basta member ng Maute,” he said.
Since May 23, government troops are fighting against Maute terrorists with death toll of 464; 336 terrorists, 44 civilians and 84 from government forces.
